Use your head
I guess it all depends on what you call fun. Another day of the Moon’s in Aries. The Moon likes things personal, peaceul, comfy, well fed, cozy and safe. The Moon rules the Cardinal water sign of Cancer. By contrast, Mars thrives on action and competition. Aries is ruled by Mars and it’s also a Cardinal, hot Fire Sign, associated with the head region. Outer planet Eris is also in Aries. The Moon squares Jupiter at 9:15 AM. The Sun trines Pluto becoming exact at 2:49 AM late tonight/early tomorrow. Use the power of Pluto and Mars wisely. If Mars has you all fired up, how about joining the gym? With Pluto, how about creating art, poetry or music? When it comes to relationships, agendas, and problem solving, let’s use our heads and apply some common sense.
The Moon enters Taurus at 2:37 PM tomorrow.
The Sun’s in late Leo, enters Virgo on Friday 22 August at 2:02 PM.
We are in the Phase Phase 6 Decrease = Disseminating Moon: Review Results begins Wednesday 20 Aug 2008 8:51 AM (UT-4:00) Moon at 12°Ar51'.
Up ahead
- Geo Jupiter and Pluto will change their motion from Retrograde to Direct in early September.
- Geo Mercury arrives at 07Lib on 03 September. This sets the stage for pre-shadow of Mercury Rx which occurs from 24 September at 22Libra through 15 October 2008 at 07Libra.
- Geo Mars and Venus don’t retrograde in 2008 but they do in 2009.

Quality of life
While today’s society has become more complex and fast-paced, people’s basic needs have remained the same for ages. What we really want is health, happiness, food, shelter, love, protection and good relationships.
The Heliocentric (Celestial) chart lends greater objectivity as it’s a foreshadowing or preview tool that paints the big picture so you can plan accordingly. It uses the planets, signs and aspects with the same meanings as Geocentrics (Terrestrial), but there are no Houses nor Retrograding planet motion. Plus, Earth is added as a planet, which it is, and the Sun and Moon stars are represented as part of that single entity Earth. Under these conditions, it’s easy to see how a person could achieve happiness, pick a reasonable and enlightened goal, jot down a simple plan of action about how to achieve that goal in a given month, and see it happen. This leads to a more sustainable quality of life.
The Geocentric chart let’s you properly time potentially volatile events and activities, so it can help you navigate life’s daily dramatic extremes. A Geocentric chart naturally includes many more aspects (lines between celestial bodies) because it tracks the separate movements and contacts of the Sun and the Moon (technically stars) and it uses the 12 Houses, Lunar Nodes, Ascendant, Midheaven, etc. The Sun moves about a degree per day, but the Moon shifts about every 2 hours which places it in a new House. Plus, the planets go through specific dates where they are in Direct motion, Stationary Still, and Retrograde Review & Revisit cycles. This translates into a busy and complex chart which is constantly shifting and changing it’s aspects, often increasing or diminishing effects within 1- 2 hour windows of time. This creates dramatic situations much like weather forecasting. This is helpful when timing is highly important.
Would you like to become a futurist trendsetter that helps you and like minded others to become sustainable? This is an excellent time to make a heartfelt wish and to lift your energy upwards and apply your talents towards that which puts a smile on yours and other’s faces and makes dreams come true. Using both charts but for different puposes, could be a great sustainable duo for preventative maintenance for quality of life.
Current Geocentric 8 Moon Phase Dates
Remember, the Sun and Moon are stars, not planets. As a general rule of thumb, when the Moon is Waxing it’s increasing, (New Moon through Full Moon) and you should be increasing new factors in your world. When the Moon is Waning it’s decreasing,(just after the Full Moon through Balsamic Moon) and you should be decreasing the unknown factors in your world. What the New Moon inspires, the Full Moon brightly illuminates two weeks later (one way or the other).

Geo and Helio perspectives
In a Geocentric chart from the Earth-centered perspective, the planets (with exception of the Sun and Moon) proceed on thier orbital pattern in a motion called Direct, then they Retrograde (rx) for awhile, and finally resume Direct motion again. A Rx is a review and revisit of experiences. No so in the Heliocentric chart from the Sun-centered perspective where all planets are always Direct and never Retrograde. When you compare a Geo chart with a Helio chart erected for the exact same time, you may see one or more planets in completely different zodiac signs. This presents distinctly different viewpoints; one from Earth and the other from higher up at the Sun. Both are accurate and valid charts, we attune to both in unique ways.
If you’re reading Sun sign columns, most of them are based on Geocentric coordinate calculations and therefore also use Houses 1-12. You’ll want to look at your personal birth chart to see which House number a planet and sign have moved into, for you.
